History
Founded in November 1994, Cliner started its journey in air filtration from the opportunity launched by CSN – Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional - to update and retrofit their filter units, adapting them to the Brazilian environmental conditions.
In the very beginning, Cliner had to overcome inherent difficulties like any other brand new company. In those early days, Cliner did not have a facility nor professionals of its own, having to count on partnerships with other companies so as to successfully carry out the works contracted. By the end of the first year of operation, Cliner was already structured and the administration managed to overcome all obstacles. The commitments were honored and the works delivered to the clients in due time. At the end of the first year, Cliner was also consolidated among the companies registered as potential suppliers at PETROBRAS, being invited to take part in several biddings having won most of them.
In 1996, Cliner initiated a working partnership with the German company FREUDENBERG NONWOVENS GROUP, world’s largest nonwovens manufacturer and leader in air filter media technology. This partnership contributed for the success of the supplying of filters and filtration systems.
With the experience acquired, Cliner began to cross borders, and in 2003, supplied its first filtration system to Argentina.
At the end of 2003, Cliner was visited and audited by Rolls Royce engineers from England, being chosen to manufacture filter units for PETROBRAS new oil platforms.
In November 2004, Cliner was thoroughly evaluated by BUREAU VERITAS (BVQI) that approved and certified Cliner’s Quality Management System which was also certified by INMETRO and UKAS.
In many years operation, Cliner has gained experience in air filtration systems having carried out more than 200 retrofit and manufacture works on offshore platforms and landbased facilities.
